Nintendo sold 900,000 DS units and 600,000 Wii units on Black Friday alone. A lot of analysts have been preaching gloom and doom for the the house that Mario built, but these sales clearly prove they've still got it. Sure, Sony and Microsoft are trying their hand at motion gaming now, but Nintendo has sidestepped this competition by offering traditional games like Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn for long time fans. While sales have been low over the past few months, Nintendo's Wii has always picked up a lot of sales in November and December so it's not much of a surprise that Nintendo has once again managed to get an incredible start to the holiday shopping season.
