Super Meat Boy just got a bit more super, if you have the PC version that is. The level editor is now available for the general populace as a free update on Steam. You can access the editor by right-clicking on Super Meat Boy in your Steam library, selecting Properties and adding "-devmode" to Super Meat Boy's Launch Options. I can't wait to see what kind of deadly labyrinths people put together. I will probably be making a level myself soon enough, stay tuned for more info!

Zoo Entertainment, best known for gems like Silly Bandz and Hello Kitty Seasons, announced that they are working Wanted Corp., an original 3rd person shooter slated for PC and PSN. The game puts up to two players in control of Neal H. MadDogg and Irina Zimoy, who must use over the top weapons and their psychic powers to kill or capture over 20 different kinds of extra terrestrial enemies. As an added bonus, PS3 users will be able to use the Move controllers to aim their weapons. The game is set to come out this Summer for the low price of $9.99. Check out the trailer after the break!
Konami can't wait until e3 to show you what they have in store for gamers this year so they are holding a live stream show 5 days before the event. They either have something big to announce, or more likely, are afraid of getting lost in the shuffle. Nintendo does have a new console to announce after all. The event will be streaming from several gaming sites and Konami will also host viewing parties in LA, San Francisco, Toronto, São Paulo, and Mexico City among other major cities.
Rumor has it that Nintendo is about unveil a discount lineup of past hits for $20 each. The titles to include Mario Super Sluggers, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Wii Sports. Wii Sports?! Isn't that bundled with the Wii? Not anymore, according to these rumors. Sometime this month the Wii will receive another price cut, the console will come bundled with Mario Kart Wii for $150. Not bad at all.
Update: This information is now confirmed After finding a lot of success with the uDraw tablet on Wii, THQ has announced that they are bringing the device over to the Xbox 360 and PS3 this holiday season. The tablet will be redesigned, meaning it will probably lose the Wii remote holder and come in a hardcore gamer oriented black color scheme. Except I doubt they will be interested in Spongebob Squigglepants, so maybe THQ has a couple of core oriented uDraw games to announce at e3.
One particularly hardcore ( or crazy) 3DS fan had a Mii AR card tattooed just below his left wrist. He won't ever have to worry about losing his card... but he might have to worry about explaining this to future children. It does work, as you can see in the picture, but only in dim lighting. This is probably one of the cooler gaming tattoos I have seen, but it still far too permanent for my tastes. The 3DS will be out another six years, but that tattoo will last for life.
Satoru Iwata recently revealed that Nintendo is still working on the Vitality Sensor they debuted at e3 a couple of years ago. I personally don't think it will show up on the Wii, but instead appear built into the next consoles controller like the grips on exercise equipment, but Iwata says there is another reason for the delay.
"This is a totally new type of entertainment, and there are large individual differences in the biological information of humans. For example, if it was acceptable that only 80% of the users thought the result was natural, then we could propose this to consumers right now. However, we are aiming for a level of quality in which 99% of consumers feel comfortable, and that is why this project is taking time to complete." If the vitality sensor does show up for the Wii I think Nintendo will attempt to keep the system alive for another couple of years, a "third pillar" like they tried to do with the DS, GBA and Wii. This way they could still cater to their new found casual audience, while focusing on the early adopter core crowd on the next system. Nintendo won't need to worry about attracting casual users right out of the gate because they will adopt the system gradually as it falls in price- and the system will likely be completely backwards compatible with the Wii. I do feel as though the vitality sensor could have some interesting applications for core games as well. Just imagine the next Fatal Frame changing gameplay elements in reaction to the quickening pace of your pulse. But we will probably see it in Wii Relax first. Source: Nintendo In an effort to give third party developers a fair shot at success on their systems, Nintendo is now spacing out their releases to give other developers a chance to shine. In reality it will probably only result in Nintendo fans waiting longer between their gaming fixes, but it's nice to see that Nintendo is trying. Nintendo has yet to announce the release date of high profile games like Animal Crossing 3DS, Mario Kart 3DS and Super Mario 3DS in order to assess the third party release schedule. Nintendo President Satoru Iwata had this to say about the new strategy:
Chrono Trigger, originally released on the SNES, is still one of the best RPGs of all time. When Japan received the game on the Wii's virtual console recently, I had high hopes that it would also see release in the U.S. It looks like that is about to happen, seeing as how the ESRB has now given the game a rating. The game sold for $9 in Japan, an extra dollar more than most other SNES games available on the service, but that is still much better than the $30 price tag on the DS port. There is no word on whether that price will carry over here, but I would say it is fairly likely. The game is also rumored to be launching on PSN soon. Keep your fingers crossed for next Monday!
Sony Online Entertainment servers were taken offline earlier this morning. The reason? Sony Online Entertainment announced that it has lost 12,700 customer credit card numbers as the result of an attack and nearly 24.6 million accounts may have been breached. Out of those 12,700 credit card numbers stolen, 4,300 came from Japan, with the remainder coming from European countries Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. The PSN servers and SOE servers are said to be on different networks, but this attack could very well have come from that same individuals. The moral of the story? Sony needs to tighten up their security quite a bit. Hopefully the other console manufacturers are taking notes.
