THQ has finally unveiled the uDraw game tablet they had previously announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3. The tablet features a number of upgrades over its Wii exclusive predecessor, including input at 2000x1600 resolution, multitouch surfaces for "pinch-and-stretch and rotation features, and built-in tilt sensors to mimic the effect placing the Wii remote in the tablet used to accomplish. The bundled software is also improved, uDraw Studio: Instant Artist includes new tutorials and a new interface. THQ also announced that a new version of Pictionary was also planned for the new device. I will be very curious to see how well this does on the HD platforms.

Blizzard is hiring for a "Senior Software Engineer, Console -- PlayStation 3 Specialist" within the Diablo 3 team, suggesting that the game might be headed for consoles.
From Blizzard's website: "This position is responsible for overseeing Playstation 3 (PS3) architecture design," the listing explains, "as well as other PS3-specific game code development to maximize platform performance." Could this be a sign of things to come, or a cruel tease? We might find out during next week's e3, but Blizzard isn't known to make big announcements there, so probably not. During Konami's pre-e3 press event Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear Solid series, announced a new game development engine for use on Xbox 360, PS3, NGP, PC and probably even the next Nintendo console. The lighting looks pretty good, but the textures look a bit too plasticky for my tastes. Certainly not impressed by it so late in the generation, hopefully the fact that it is supposedly very scalable will make multiplatform development easier for Kojima's team. For just $99.99 Uncharted fans can net themselves a copy of Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, a replica belt buckle of the one Nathan Drake wears in the game, a necklace with a ring on it, and even a figurine of Nathan Drake wearing both of these items. The game itself comes in a steel case with the whole bundle packed in a chest. Sony is also offering unique DLC depending on where you reserve the game, so be sure to check with local retailers for access to unique weapons or powerups with a pre-order.
Sony is live streaming their entire 5 hour long e3 press conference in Playstation Home Monday night, even going as far to recreate their booth in the digital world. Be sure to log in June 6 at 8 p.m. ET to catch the show and wander around their virtual booth at 3 p.m. ET the next day. Doing so will unlock special Home content, which will probably include new trailers for the games announced during the conference.
After a lengthy ordeal PSN gamers can finally breath a sigh of relief, Sony's gaming service will be fully functional by the end of the week. Full functionality includes the use of the PlayStation Store, voucher and code redemption, full use of Qriocity and Media Go. Don't forget to pick up two of the free games from "Welcome Back" promotion Sony is offering to seek your forgiveness for leaving their network open to hackers. You can choose fromDead Nation, inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, and Wipeout HD + Fury. Even more importantly, don't forget to sign up for their free identity protection service, AllClear ID Plus, to keep your credit card information safe in case this ever happens again.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 might be free to play online when it releases this Fall, but Activision is going to try to convince hardcore fans that the newly announced Call of Duty Elite service, developed by Beachhead Studios, is the best way to experience the action. How are they going to accomplish this? By giving gamers a taste now of course! Activision is now offering the ability to sign up for a closed beta of the service here. They are probably hoping that gamers will get attached to the service and feel like they can’t play the game any other way come release day. But you can resist that temptation, right?
Modern Warfare 3 is looking good, but Battlefield 3 good? The jury is still out on this one.
Toshiyuki Takahashi, better known as "Master Higgins", has announced on his personal blog that he is leaving Hudson after 26 years with the company. The man was know for his ability to hit an NES button 16 times in one second, creating a code in future Hudson games that frustrated me to no end, and his appearance in the Adventure Island games. After Konami's recent acquisition of Hudson and Takahashi's departure, I'd say that about does it for the Hudson we once knew and loved. Source: Andriasang ,HBO.org has discovered that "Podophobia Entertainment", formed by Bungie head Harold Ryan and music composer Marty O'Donnell, has registered a trademark for "Destiny" with the logo seen above. This is just one of many new trademarks tied to Bungie lately. Bungie Aerospace, Podophobia Entertainment, what's next? I can't help but feel like all of this is intended to throw fans off of the trail, but maybe "Destiny" really is the name of Bungie's rumored MMOFPS. I bet we'll find out at someone's e3 conference next month, despite Bungie's claims that they are not attending.
