No, this isn't a Reddit post. It is an actual screen grab from the new Super Meat Boy update available on Steam today. Super Meat World, featuring levels created by users and other developers is now available by pressing left on the chapter select screen. I can't wait to have my spirit destroyed by these levels- should take about ten minutes.

The long awaited Super Meat Boy user created hub, Super Meat World, is only "days away" according to developer Team Meat's twitter account. This free update will allow Steam users to create and share levels with other fans, eventually leading to new chapters created from hand picked user created content. I can't wait to see what twisted designs people cook up. Luckily you actually have to beat the level yourself before you submit it, alleviating some of the potential torture. Look for news on my own creation soon! NeoGaf internet sleuth FishSquared has posted a thread in which he discovered that a Bioware employee artificially boosted Dragon Age II's Metacritic user review score by giving the game a 10. The only three games this particular Bioware employee reviewed were the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Dragon Age II. For shame. Despite this tampering the game still sits at a 4.1 out of 10 average user score, meaning there are more than a few gamers disappointed with this mediocre sequel.
The developer best known for games like Ratchet and Clank and Resistance Fall of Man has now decided to tackle an entirely different beast, Facebook games. Insomniac Click! is a new division of the famed developer working exclusively on social games for the Facebook platform. They intend to bring the same level of depth they are known for on consoles to the social gaming arena. I will be interested to see what Insomniac brings to the table, this is potentially exciting news for those who long for something a bit more complex than Farmville to waste time with on Facebook.
Bethesda has finally upgraded to a new engine! This game looks a lot prettier than their last few efforts, the environments and towns look absolutely stunning. I find it hard to believe a game this epic can be announced and released within the same year, but as of right now it looks like the game will still be hitting its targeted November 11th release date.
DICE isn't fooling around with Battlefield 3- this short gameplay trailer looks absolutely epic. As an added bonus if you pre-order the limited edition of Battlefield 3 you are able to download the "Back to Karkand" expansion pack at no extra cost. This entry brings back some old fan favorites like jets, going prone and 64 player multiplayer on the PC. The game is being developed with the PC as the lead platform, so there is almost no doubt that this game will be more technically impressive than whatever Sledgehammer Games and Infinity Ward are cooking up to combat Battlefield 3 in Fall of 2011. Call of Duty who?! Valve is sorry for its past transgressions against the PS3, like an outsourced Orange Box and complete lack of Left4Dead, and intends to make up for it by making the PS3 version of Portal 2 completely awesome. Not only will the game come with a free code for the PC version of Portal 2 and cloud saving, but it will also offer Playstation Move controls. I haven't used the peripheral for pointer controls myself but I hear they are as accurate as Wii pointer controls, which makes this quite an excellent proposition. If you own a PS3 this is definitely the version of Portal 2 you want to get.
Update: Valve has now stated that their employee was mistranslated, the game will not support Playstation Move Deep Silver and Techland's Dead Island was supposed to be released on the Xbox 360 and PC back in 2008. Nobody had seen or heard anything about it in the three years since so the game was quickly forgotten. Today the game resurfaced in a brand new (and quite awesome) trailer posted on IGN. The game is now expected to see release in 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Players will take control of the last remaining humans on an island infested with zombies. There are reportedly very few firearms left, meaning you will mostly be engaging in hand to hand combat using whatever you can find to help fend off the undead. While zombies are a pretty common element in video games, rarely have I seen a trailer with such style. If you haven't seen it already be sure to check it out.
Source: IGN After a successful beta period Pandora Saga is now going commercial. Atlus is implementing a few additions to the game to celebrate the occasion, including raising the level cap to 44 and opening a new item shop where players can find a variety of rare potions and frost-imbued ice weapons. Tsuyoshi Onozuka, Director at Atlus Online is very excited about the changes, "It is now that the game will truly begin to deliver on its tremendous promise, with huge warzone battles featuring hundreds of player combatants, new challenges for higher-level users, an item shop full of rare and useful resources, and much more. That is not to suggest that the time for continuing to listen to feedback and improve the game has passed; our focus will always be on delivering the ultimate experience for our community, and as such we shall continue to explore ways to make Pandora Saga the best game possible."
Wait, did he say battles featuring hundreds of player combatants? Clash of the Nations, Pandora Saga's PvP battle royale, is yet another new feature added to the game's official launch. There will be one Clash of the Nations event each day throughout the first week called the "7 Days of War." Atlus plans to continually update Pandora Saga, next month they will be adding a third job class for players to delve into. And don't forget prizes! Players can collect Muldia Medals and exchange them for a chance to win various prizes including the grand prize which consists of a $50 Ultimate Game Card, a 23" LCD monitor and a fancy keyboard that will help any MMO fan dominate. Hundreds more will win other various prizes. To register to play and for more info about the game, visit the official site at http://pandorasaga.atlusonline.com While many modern games aren't very difficult because of things like unlimited continues and automatically recharging health bars a select few games retain the insane level of challenge that old school gamers like myself crave. These are my top five picks for most difficult games of this console generation.
